Privacy Policy

Short version

We only get your details when you message us, send the form on a project page, or sign up for our emails. Our web host (the company whose computers run our site) keeps normal server logs. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. Our emails tell us if they were opened and which link was clicked. When a project map loads, or you tap WhatsApp, Google or WhatsApp may get some data under their own rules. We never sell your details. A developer only hears from us if you decide to book.

Who we are

MyNewLaunch is an independent property guide. This page says what personal data we hold, why we hold it, and how to see, fix or delete it. It follows Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). Questions: enquiry@mynewlaunch.com.

What we get

  • Your message. When you WhatsApp us, email us or send the form on a project page, we get your name, your number or email, and what you wrote. The form also tells us your language and the page you sent it from. There are no accounts on this site.
  • Your sign-up. When you sign up for our emails, we get your name, your email, your language and the page you signed up on.
  • Email opens and clicks. Our emails tell us if they were opened and which link was clicked.
  • Server logs. Our web host keeps the normal technical record: your IP address (your connection's number), the pages you opened, and your browser type. It uses them to keep the site running and safe.
  • Visit counts. We use Google Analytics (a visitor-counting tool from Google). It records the pages you open, how long you stay, which site sent you here, the outside links you tap (such as WhatsApp), your device type and your rough location, such as your city. Google stores small files called cookies in your browser to do this. We never see your name or contact details in it. To turn it off on a computer, add Google's turn-off tool to your browser. On a phone, use a browser that blocks trackers.
  • Nothing else. No marketing cookies (small files that follow you between sites).
  • Things saved on your phone or computer. Your saved list and calculator figures live in your own browser only. We cannot see them. Clear your browser data and they are gone.

Google Maps and WhatsApp

Project pages show a Google Map. The WhatsApp buttons open WhatsApp. When the map loads, or when you tap a WhatsApp button, Google or WhatsApp (owned by Meta) may collect data under their own privacy policies, not ours.

What we do with it

  • Answer you, and send what you asked for, such as a price list or a floor plan.
  • Tell you when there is news on the projects you asked about, and set up a viewing.
  • Send our emails, only if you signed up for them.
  • Count visits, to see which pages help people and which need work.
  • Do what Malaysian law requires.

We do not sell, rent or swap your details with anyone for their marketing.

Who we share it with

Your message goes to one person on our own team: whoever handles that project.

  • The developer, only when you decide to book. The booking form needs your name and IC (identity card) number. Until then, the developer gets nothing from us.
  • Our web host, which keeps the server logs above and uses them for nothing else.
  • Google, which runs the visit counts above under its own privacy policy.
  • The service we use to store contacts and send our emails. It keeps your details when you sign up or send us a message.
  • The authorities, when the law says we must.

How long we keep it

Your messages: up to 24 months after we last spoke. Your sign-up name and email: until you unsubscribe. Visit counts: Google keeps the detailed records for 2 months. Records the law makes us keep: as long as the law says.

Security

The site runs on HTTPS (a locked, private connection: the padlock in your browser). No website is 100% safe, so we keep as little of your data as we can.

Your control

Under the PDPA you can ask to see your data, fix it, delete it, or take back your consent. To stop our emails, click Unsubscribe in any of them. To stop WhatsApp updates, reply STOP on WhatsApp. For anything else, email enquiry@mynewlaunch.com. We act within 21 days.

Children

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this page

If we change this page, the date at the top changes too.
